This matcha powder is ceremonial grade made from theharvest in Spring. These leaves are young, supple, have abundance of L-theanine, and hence most nutritious. Only a small quantity (half teaspoon) is required per serving.

Our ceremonial grade matcha powder is made from high altitude tea plantations. The tea plants are shade grown, hand picked (not machine harvested), stems and veins of the tea leaves are removed, and air dried. (Note that they are not oven dried artificially just to speed up the process). A fine, smooth matcha powder is then created using granite stone grinds.
